The OUTEQ FL5 is a compact rechargeable LED flashlight for everyday carry and work in the field. A fixed-focus reflector creates a concentrated beam with an output of 1800 lumens reaching 325 metres, controlled by a pair of buttons at the tail and on the side of the body. The anodised aluminium-alloy body rated IP67 measures 139 x 30 x 25 mm and weighs 141 g, so it fits in a jacket pocket or a side pocket of your backpack.

Light output and a 325 m beam
An output of 1800 lumens and a 20 W draw put the FL5 among lights that illuminate a whole yard, a forest track or a production hall. The 325-metre figure is the distance at which the fixed-focus reflector still throws a discernible beam – useful for checking distant objects, searching a field or navigating open terrain. The fixed focus keeps the beam shape constant: a concentrated centre for distance and softer spill around it for awareness of your immediate surroundings. Full output makes sense outdoors and at range. For reading labels or working in a tight space a lower mode is better, because strong light bounces back off nearby surfaces and the head warms up during extended use at maximum.

Dual control and six lighting modes
Control is split between two buttons. The tail switch turns the light on and off instantly, while the side button cycles through Strong, Medium, Low, Moonlight, Strobe and SOS. The split matters the moment you need light immediately: pull the light out, press the tail with your thumb and you are lit, without stepping through a mode menu. Moonlight is the lowest level for moving inside a tent or a night check where you do not want to lose your dark adaptation; Strobe and SOS are for signalling. Modes cycle in sequence, so getting from full output to SOS takes several presses. The side button stands proud of the body, so you can find it even with gloves on.

Aluminium body and IP67 rating
The body is anodised aluminium alloy with diagonal knurling along its whole length, which keeps your grip secure even with wet hands. The aluminium draws heat away from the head at full output and takes abrasion against concrete, metal and tools better than plastic. The IP67 rating means complete dust-tightness and resistance to brief immersion, so rain, wet snow or a drop into a puddle do it no harm. It is not intended for diving or for staying underwater. The head carries a hot-surface warning: after extended use at the highest mode the reflector heats up, so it is better to hold the light by the body.

USB-C charging in the body of the light
The USB-C connector is built into the body of the light, so you never have to remove the battery to charge it. You can top it up from the same sources as your phone: a USB-C charger, a power bank, a laptop or a car adapter. The 5 V, 1 A input is a gentle charging current rather than fast charging, so it is wiser to charge overnight than a few minutes before leaving. The box includes a USB-C to USB-C cable that fits chargers and laptops with this connector.

A compact light and a replaceable 18650 battery
The dimensions of 139 x 30 x 25 mm and a weight of 141 g match a single-cell format: the light fits a jacket pocket, a car cubby or the side pocket of a backpack. The belt clip holds it over the edge of a pocket or on a pack strap, while the lanyard secures it when working at height or over water. Inside sits one replaceable 18650 cell, so after years of use you swap the battery and the light carries on. With a sealed battery, a worn cell would mean the end of the whole light.
