The OUTEQ FL2 is a rechargeable handheld LED flashlight with a dedicated diving mode and an IP68 rating. Unlike lights that only resist splashing water, it is built for immersion, so you can use it underwater as well as in everyday outdoor conditions. Inside sits a replaceable 21700 battery, charged via the included battery charger.
Key features
The diving mode and IP68 rating are designed for immersion, not just splashing water.
The 21700 cell is replaceable, so when it wears out you buy a new battery, not a new flashlight.
The battery charges in the supplied charging adapter using an ordinary USB-A to USB-C cable.
A single button switches between five brightness levels, strobe and SOS.
The anodised aluminium body dissipates heat well and warns you with a HOT mark on the head.

Features
A light for land and water
The OUTEQ FL2 combines a handheld flashlight with a dedicated diving mode, so it works on dry land and below the surface. The IP68 rating means the light is built for immersion, not merely resistance to rain or splashing water. You notice the difference in recreational diving, night snorkelling or work by the water, where an ordinary water-resistant light is not enough. If you only want a light for dry outdoor use you will not need this capability, but the rugged body will serve you regardless.

The IP68 rating and what it means underwater
The IP68 marking describes two things: complete resistance to dust and the ability to stay submerged, unlike lower ratings that only account for brief splashing. Sealing on the FL2 relies on O-rings, which are worth checking and keeping clean before every dive. We do not state a specific depth as a measured figure; treat the light as built for immersion and movement below the surface, not as a tool with an independently verified depth limit. For recreational use by and under water, that is a meaningful difference from lights that only survive rain.

Five brightness levels switched with one button
A side button controls the light, which offers five modes: high, medium, low, strobe and SOS. High is for maximum reach, while the eco mode suits reading a map or moving around camp, where full output dazzles and needlessly drains the battery. Strobe and SOS are for signalling – orienting yourself on the water, say, or calling for help. Output reaches up to 1,400 lm, and you can switch modes with one hand, even wearing gloves.

Replaceable 21700 battery and charging via the adapter
Inside the FL2 sits a replaceable 21700 Li-ion cell with a capacity of 3,000 mAh. Because the battery is not sealed into the body, after years of use you replace the cell itself – or take a charged spare on a longer trip – instead of buying a new flashlight. Charging runs through the charging adapter with a USB-A to USB-C cable, both included in the box. One cell is enough for a short outing; a charged spare is worth having on a multi-day expedition.

Aluminium body with an anodised finish
The FL2 body is anodised aluminium alloy, which resists corrosion and helps dissipate heat during longer runs at full output. It is precisely because of that heat that a HOT warning is stamped on the head; after extended use in high mode, hold the light by the body rather than the reflector. A coloured ring near the head makes the light easy to spot in a pack or among other gear. At 156 x 43 x 30 mm and 195 g, the FL2 counts as a compact handheld light you can carry in one hand or a jacket pocket.

Frequently asked questions
Your most common questions.
How long does it last per charge?
Runtime depends on the mode – the light lasts longest in eco low mode, while full output drains the battery faster. The 21700 battery with a 3,000 mAh capacity is replaceable, so you can take a charged spare cell on a longer trip.
Is the flashlight waterproof?
Yes. The FL2 is rated IP68 and has a diving mode, so it is designed for use underwater, not just in rain or fog.
How does it charge?
The 21700 battery charges via the included cell charger – connect it with an ordinary USB-A to USB-C cable (5V⎓1A input). Both the charger and a USB-C cable are in the box, so there is nothing extra to buy.
